A report from the Telecom Regulatory Authority (TRAI) says that Tata Sky is now leading TV market in India as far as DTH tata Sky is concerned, with more than 32 per cent of the market, followed by Dish TV (27 per cent) and Bharti’s Airtel Digital TV with a 24.6 per cent share.
Fourth spot is the regional operator Sun Direct with a 15.83 per cent share, equal to 11.2 million active subs, according to media reports.
These overall numbers combine to create a subscriber base in the India pay-DTH sector increasing marginally from 70.58 million at June 2020 end to 70.7 million at the end of September 2020.

This number does not include subscribers whose accounts have been inactive for more than 90 days. The subscriber market share figures are only reported for pay-DTH operators and do not include the subscriber count of Doordarshan’s free dish offering, Advanced Television reported.
