Times Network, a prominent broadcast network in India, has announced the launch of ‘Election Yatra,’ a groundbreaking initiative in Indian news television.
Led by Times Now and Times Now Navbharat, the network’s leading English and Hindi news channels respectively, Election Yatra introduces a state-of-the-art mobile studio that will traverse across the nation, capturing the essence of democracy in action.
Covering a staggering distance of 8,000 kilometers over 40 days until the end of May, Times Now’s Election Yatra will journey through 38 cities across 9 states, including Delhi-Noida, Rajasthan, Gujarat, Maharashtra, Karnataka, Telangana, Andhra Pradesh, Tamil Nadu, and Kerala. Concurrently, Times Now Navbharat’s Election Yatra embarks on a 60-day expedition until June 4th, extensively covering states like Uttar Pradesh, Bihar, Madhya Pradesh, Rajasthan, Delhi, and beyond, the company said in a press statement.
The initiative aims to break away from the conventional in-studio format by immersing itself in the heart of the Indian electorate, offering comprehensive and insightful coverage directly from the ground. Led by the prominent prime-time anchors of Times Now and Times Now Navbharat, Election Yatra promises to be a definitive platform for dynamic debates, incisive analysis, and unparalleled coverage of the Indian electoral landscape.
