The prestigious Digit Zero1 Awards 2024, hosted by Times Network, brought together the best minds and products in consumer technology to celebrate excellence and innovation. Held in New Delhi, the awards spotlighted trailblazing advancements in tech, honouring 71 winners across three categories: the Digit Zero1 Award, Digit Best Buy Award, and Digit Popular Choice Award.
Known for its rigorous, performance-driven evaluation process, the Digit Zero1 Awards is India’s only consumer tech recognition that relies entirely on data-driven testing to decide the winners. Over the years, it has emerged as the gold standard for identifying cutting-edge technology and consumer-friendly innovations, the news network said in a press release.
At the heart of the awards is a scientific and thorough testing process conducted at Digit’s in-house labs. Each product undergoes over 100 evaluations, ensuring that only the most deserving contenders are recognized. In 2024, Digit tested an impressive 1,000+ products, offering consumers and businesses a reliable guide to the best in tech.
“Digit’s reviews and ratings are trusted by millions,” said Rohit Chadda, COO and President – Digital, Times Network. “In 2024, we facilitated over Rs.200 crore worth of online purchases, showcasing the trust our readers place in our unbiased testing.”
To strengthen its position as a trusted voice in tech reviews, Digit announced the launch of a state-of-the-art testing lab in New Delhi, which will extend its capabilities to evaluate home appliances using advanced methodologies.
Former Union Minister Rajeev Chandrasekhar, who delivered the keynote address, lauded India’s remarkable strides in electronics design, manufacturing, and innovation. “India’s electronics value chain has transformed dramatically in the past few years. From importing designs and manufacturing in China, we now see global brands producing and designing right here,” he remarked.
Chandrasekhar highlighted three critical trends shaping the future:
Smarter, AI-driven products redefining daily life.
India’s expanding role in global supply chains.
Revolutionary advancements in digital products and AI-powered architectures.
This year’s standout winners included the iQOO 12 for its unmatched flagship performance, the Vivo X100 Pro for its camera capabilities, and the MSI Raider 18 HX A14V for redefining gaming laptops.
The Best Buy Awards celebrated products offering exceptional value, such as the Redmi Pad Pro 5G and the CMF Phone 1. Meanwhile, the Popular Choice Awards saw fan-favourites like Samsung Galaxy Z Fold6 and Redmi Note 13 Pro+ taking centre stage.
The event also served as a platform to discuss the future of consumer tech. Two engaging panel discussions, ‘Predicting the Future of Consumer Tech in India’ and ‘Rise of India in Tech: Home-grown Brands and Their Success’, explored key themes such as AI integration, the expansion of 5G, and India’s role in the global tech ecosystem.
In addition, the event’s SKOAR gaming arena provided a glimpse into the booming esports culture in India. The SKOAR! College Championship 2024 saw participation from over 100 colleges, with plans to expand to 1,000 colleges, making it the largest college esports platform in the country.
The Digit Zero1 Awards 2024 celebrated not only technological brilliance but also India’s journey towards becoming a global innovation hub. By recognising achievements, sparking conversations, and providing a trusted platform for product evaluations, the awards continue to shape the country’s tech narrative.
