Times Network, a leading broadcast network in India, has unveiled ‘Public Manch,’ a dedicated show designed to engage and empower voters, particularly focusing on first-time voters.
Hosted by Navika Kumar, the weekly prime-time show will kick off on February 23 at 7:55 PM on Times Now Navbharat and at 9 PM on Times Now.
With an eye on the upcoming general elections in 2024, ‘Public Manch’ serves as a direct link between the nation’s youth and prominent political figures, bureaucrats, and thought leaders. The inaugural episode features political strategist Prashant Kishore, providing a dynamic platform for voters to gain insights into various issues before casting their votes, the channel said in a press release.
Commenting on the new show, Navika Kumar, Group Editor-In-Chief of Times Now and Times Now Navbharat, highlighted the show’s significance in light of a 25 percent increase in first-time voters for the upcoming elections compared to 2019. She emphasized ‘Public Manch’ as a crucial tool to bridge the gap between youth and political discourse, aiming to prepare voters as they step into the forefront of the electoral process.
As ‘Public Manch’ embarks on a nationwide journey, it will engage in illuminating conversations with influential figures on prestigious campuses in Mumbai, Hyderabad, Chandigarh, Guwahati, Patna, and Bengaluru. The show promises to offer an insightful exploration of India’s political landscape, fostering dynamic discussions that resonate with the concerns and interests of the country’s young and diverse electorate.
