TV9 Marathi, the undisputed leader in Marathi news, hosted the Maharashtracha Mahasankalp – Mission World Cup conclave on Tuesday, March 14, in Mumbai, bolstering India’s World Cup Football chances.
The unique initiative saw Maharashtra, India’s financial leader, and global football club FC Bayern team up for the football global quest with TV9, India’s largest television news network, the channel said in a statement.
The Conclave is an important component of TV9 Marathi’s resolution, Maharashtracha Mahasankalp, which aims to highlight Maharashtra’s enormous strides in infrastructure development, business, sports, and societal welfare. It saw the presence of football luminaries charting India’s path to the World Cup, and FC Bayern, the world’s leading football club, shared its philosophy on the sport in the Indian context.
FC Bayern’s youth programs spread their unique “Mia san Mia” philosophy around the world through knowledge and training methods partnerships. Respect, ambition, “fair play,” and team spirit are core values in their philosophy. Each partnership in this process focuses on an intensive and ongoing exchange of knowledge, tradition, and training methods.
The main attraction of the conclave was the felicitation of 20 Maharashtra children by Hon’ble Sports Minister Shri Girish Mahajan. Selected during the FC Bayern Maharashtra Cup, these children are on their way to Germany for training to help them achieve their dream.
“The FC Bayern Club was chosen to assist students and coaches in understanding good football techniques and developing into good players. The role of the state government is that Maharashtra should be number one in sports. The goal is for Maharashtra athletes to compete at the highest levels in Olympic and Commonwealth International competitions “said Maharashtra Sports Minister Girish Mahajan.
Speaking on this occasion, Barun Das, MD & CEO of TV9 Network, said, “India is driving the global agenda across diverse domains. From geoeconomics to geopolitics, the United States is now influencing the world through soft power at the Oscars. I am confident that excellence in global sporting arenas such as World Cup soccer or the Olympics is not far away.”
“At TV9 Network we are elated to join two institutions of humongous reach and repute – the Maharashtra Government & FC Bayern Munich Club – to realize the World Cup football dream as well as achieve international glory for football talent in India,” added Barun Das.
