Musk: End-2023 ‘good timing' to find new Twitter head

Elon Musk, CEO of Twitter, announced that the microblogging platform will now share ad revenue with creators who have signed up for “Twitter Blue Verified” for advertisements that appear in their reply threads.

“Starting today, Twitter will share ad revenue with creators for ads that appear in their reply threads,” Musk said in a tweet on Friday. The account must be a Twitter Blue Verified subscriber to be eligible.”

Several users responded to Musk’s post with their thoughts, IANS reported from San Francisco.

While one user asked, “what will the Twitter/Creator revenue split look like?”, another commented, “how is this going to look logistically? “A dashboard for ad monetization for creators?”

In December last year, Twitter updated the list of features for its Blue service, which mentioned that subscribers of the service will get “prioritized rankings in conversations”.

The updated page also stated that subscribers can upload videos up to 60 minutes long from the internet at 1080p resolution and 2GB file size, but that all videos must adhere to the company’s rules.
