Twitter is finally bringing a much-desired feature that will allow users to find specific tweets and profiles by filtering by date, user, retweet count, hashtags, and other criteria.
Twitter’s advanced search filters for smartphone users are “coming soon,” according to social media analyst Matt Navarra.
“Twitter Advanced Search is coming soon to iOS,” he tweeted on Thursday.
“You can also search another user’s profile using Twitter Advanced Search on iOS,” he wrote. As he previously stated, the new search feature will be available first on iPhones.
CEO Elon Musk complained about Twitter’s search feature within a week of taking control of the micro-blogging platform.
“Fixing search is a high priority,” he tweeted last November. “Twitter search reminds me of Infoseek in a98!” That will also improve quickly,” Musk added.
According to TechCrunch, to access advanced search on the web, type in your search term, then click the three-dot menu to the right of the search bar.
“On mobile, this wasn’t even an option until now, when this feature release appears to be on the horizon,” according to the report.
It’s unclear when this advanced search feature will be available.
