Warner Bros. Discovery has announced a major reorganization of its international children’s team, resulting in expanded roles for several executives and the departure of APAC chief Chris Ho. The restructuring aims to streamline operations and enhance content strategy across various regions, The Variety reported.

In an internal memo from Vanessa Brookman, General Manager of Kids, Global Streaming, and International Networks, several key appointments were highlighted:

  • Pablo Zuccarino has been promoted to Head of Kids and Animation for Latin America, adding responsibility for international portfolio strategy. Zuccarino, previously Senior Vice President and General Manager for Kids and Family in Latin America and US Hispanic, will now report to Fernando Medin, President and Managing Director of Latin America and US Hispanic.
  • Chris Ho is leaving the company. Ho, who served as VP of Kids Content for APAC since last December, was recognized for his contributions, including the launch of the Singapore-produced Tom and Jerry series and Cartoonito.
  • Ana González, based in Madrid, will now oversee the Asia Pacific region as Vice President of Kids Content for Southern Europe, APAC, and Africa, across linear, streaming, and VOD platforms.
  • Sean Henry has been promoted to VP of International Content Partnerships and Content Strategy for EMEA. Previously, he was VP of EMEA Kids Content Strategy and Partnerships.
  • Sean Gorman will manage pay TV networks for EMEA and oversee kids channels in the UK, Nordics, Middle East, North Africa, and Turkey.
  • Mark Taynton is now Head of Adult Swim, EMEA, and will oversee international adult animation content management.
  • Michelle Truong transitions to Manager of Original Animation in Los Angeles, joining the US team under Michael Ouweleen, President of Cartoon Network, Adult Swim, Boomerang, Discovery Kids, and US networks.
  • Monika Oomen becomes VP of Brand, Communications, and Digital Strategy for EMEA.
  • Alison York is appointed Head of Kids Data and Insights.
  • Sarah Fell takes on the role of VP of Original Animation EMEA at Hanna-Barbera Studios Europe, reporting to WBD Animation President Sam Register in LA. All three are based in London.

This strategic overhaul is part of Warner Bros. Discovery‘s efforts to enhance its global children’s programming and leverage its extensive network of content across various platforms.

The changes are expected to bring fresh perspectives and strengthen the company’s position in the competitive landscape of kids’ entertainment.
