WhatsApp has unveiled a new privacy campaign emphasizing the importance of secure communication.
The campaign, created by BBDO India and directed by Shimit Amin, showcases how WhatsApp’s multiple layers of protection offer users more control and privacy in their conversations with friends, family, and businesses.
The ad film follows Ikbir, a young man who moves to a new city to become a professional chef, highlighting how WhatsApp provides a safe space for private conversations, even during vulnerable moments.
Vyom Prashant, Director of Consumer Marketing at Meta, expressed pride in the campaign, stating, “Over the years, we have added layers of security and protection with innovative features that empower users to have their most private conversations on WhatsApp.”
The campaign also includes product films to educate users on safety tools like Two-Step Verification, Block and Report, and the Meta Verified badge, aiming to protect against online scams and frauds.
Running across OOH, print, digital, and cinemas in eight Indian states, the campaign underscores WhatsApp’s commitment to user privacy and security.
