As the world reorients its focus toward India’s growing influence, the TV9 What India Thinks Today Summit 2025, held on March 28–29 at Bharat Mandapam, New Delhi, served as a definitive voice in the conversation around the country’s global ascent.

Hosted by TV9 Network, the third edition of the annual thought-fest not only celebrated India’s journey since independence but also positioned the nation as a visionary force in shaping the new world order, the news network said in a press release.

The summit’s opening crescendo came with a keynote address by Prime Minister Narendra Modi, who hailed TV9 Network for creating a powerful platform of public discourse. Applauding the summit’s impact, PM Modi remarked, “What TV9 thinks today, other channels will follow,” underlining the network’s leadership in thought and media. In his address, he reflected on India’s transformative journey and emphasized how platforms like WITT are instrumental in crafting the blueprint for India’s future.

Barun Das, Managing Director and CEO of TV9 Network, reaffirmed the company’s global ambitions, citing their successful News9 Global Summit in Stuttgart, Germany, and upcoming expansions to the UAE and USA. “This is more than a media event. It’s a movement,” Das declared.

The two-day event featured a confluence of national leaders, policymakers, and cultural figures, converging around the central theme: India in the New World Order.

From policy and infrastructure to culture, business, and technology, the summit was a melting pot of dialogue. Union Minister Nitin Gadkari made headlines during his session with five editors by promising a major decision on toll within a week — a move expected to directly address public concerns.

The cultural spectrum was equally engaging. Vijay Deverakonda shared his thoughts on stardom transcending languages, while Yami Gautam opened up about her journey in the film industry. Amit Sadh and Jim Sarbh teased their upcoming thriller Pune Highway, adding a cinematic flair to the summit.

A heartfelt moment came with the felicitation of young footballers from News9’s Indian Tigers and Tigresses India’s largest football talent hunt. The 28 chosen boys and girls not only won acclaim but also had the honor of meeting and clicking a group photo with PM Modi himself.

The second day of the summit turned the spotlight on governance and economics. Senior leaders including Piyush Goyal, Ashwini Vaishnaw, G. Kishan Reddy, and Chirag Paswan spoke on policy priorities, while Chief Ministers Bhagwant Mann, Mohan Yadav, Himanta Biswa Sarma, Pushkar Singh Dhami, and Rekha Gupta led discussions on welfare, UCC, and elections.

Smriti Irani, Randeep Surjewala, and RSS’s Sunil Ambekar brought nuanced perspectives to India’s socio-political landscape, with special attention on unity and national health. The healthcare panel, featuring experts like Navneet Saluja from Haleon (Sensodyne), dissected future-ready strategies for India’s health sector.

Business discussions gained momentum with a keynote by Anil Agarwal, Chairman of Vedanta, who emphasized the need for supportive government policies to nurture global enterprises from Indian soil.

Adding international perspective, Former UNGA President Abdulla Shahid stressed the rise of the Global South, while Pandit Dhirendra Shastri, labeled as a “Hindu Crusader,” shared insights into India’s spiritual and cultural strength.

The summit also embraced futuristic themes like AI, skilling, infrastructure, sustainability, and MSME growth, with speakers such as Abhishek Singh (IndiaAI Mission), Rajesh Nambiar (NASSCOM), Hisashi Takeuchi (Maruti Suzuki), and Nilesh Shah (Kotak AMC), among others. A virtual address by Chief Economic Advisor V. Anantha Nageswaran opened the economic track.

The event was backed by partners including Sensodyne (Oral Health Partner), Sreenidhi University (Power Partner), and supported by state governments of Uttarakhand, Madhya Pradesh, and Arunachal Pradesh. The summit also saw participation from a diverse array of sponsors across sectors.

With a global vision and national conviction, the TV9 What India Thinks Today Summit 2025 successfully carved a roadmap for India’s rise as a thought leader in the evolving world order. The sessions are now available for global audiences on News9 YouTube and News9 Plus.
