India is making significant strides in sustainable mobility, and to recognize the nation’s achievements in the electric vehicle (EV) sector, WION, India’s premier global news platform, has announced the inaugural electric-mobility initiative, ‘VoltAge – Leading the Charge.
Under the banner of ‘Leading the Charge’, VoltAge aims to be a driving force in shaping the future of the EV industry in India. India has set ambitious goals for its auto industry, with a target of doubling its size to Rs. 15 lakh crores by the end of 2024. This growth is supported by a significant foreign direct investment (FDI) inflow of $33.77 billion in the sector. The Indian EV industry has the potential to generate five crore jobs by 2030, making it an attractive prospect for both local and foreign investments.
