In a strategic move, global advertising and marketing giant WPP has announced the appointment of Jane Geraghty as Chief Client Officer, effective January 2024.
Based in New York, Geraghty, currently serving as CEO of Landor & Fitch, will spearhead key client relationships and oversee Global Client Leaders for WPP.
With an impressive track record spanning nearly 30 years, Geraghty has played a pivotal role in driving sustained growth for Landor & Fitch, achieving a 50 percent business expansion since her appointment as CEO six years ago. Notably, she led the successful integration of various agencies and orchestrated the union of Landor and FITCH.
Mark Read, CEO of WPP, expressed enthusiasm about Geraghty joining the central WPP team, citing her profound understanding of clients, agencies, and personnel. He believes she will be a valuable asset to current and future clients.
In a concurrent development, Jane Geraghty will be succeeded at Landor & Fitch by Christian Schroeder, appointed as Global President.
Schroeder, with over 30 years of experience in advertising, branding, and design, will lead the global leadership team, assuming day-to-day responsibilities for the network.
Christian Schroeder’s return to Landor & Fitch marks a significant moment, having initially joined the company 24 years ago. His tenure includes leadership roles at Lambie-Nairn as CEO, and since 2011, he has been a key figure in WPP‘s Global Client Leaders team.
Jane Geraghty, known for her commitment to workplace equity, will continue her advocacy efforts. In 2023, she was named in the HERoes Women Role Model Top 100 and will co-chair the Reykjavik Global Forum for Women Leaders this year.
