Zee 24 Ghanta, West Bengal’s leading news channel, is set to host the 16th edition of Ananya Samman on February 20. It is an annual event dedicated to honouring individuals who have made extraordinary contributions to society.

With a rich legacy spanning over 16 years, this initiative has become the gold standard in recognizing changemakers, social warriors and unsung heroes who inspire change, the news channel said yesterday in a press release.

This year’s ceremony will be held in Kolkata, bringing together luminaries, bureaucrats, ministers and celebrities to pay tribute to the real architects of social transformation. Adding to the evening’s grandeur, the event will feature a soul-stirring performance by renowned musical duo Sourendro and Soumyajit.

It would also be telecast live on Zee 24 Ghanta from 6.30 pm onwards. To ensure a comprehensive acknowledgment of outstanding contributions, Ananya Samman 2025 will honour individuals across three distinguished categories:

• Ananya Sadharan Award: Recognizing unsung heroes from West Bengal who have shown exceptional courage and selflessness, overcoming personal hardships to serve society.
• Ananya Samman Award: Bestowed upon eminent personalities who have excelled in their respective fields, making a lasting impact through their contributions.
• Jibon Kriti (Lifetime Achievement Award): A tribute to an icon whose dedication and achievements have inspired generations and set a benchmark in service and excellence.
