Zee to broadcast agencies’ DP World ILT20

In an exciting blend of cricket and camaraderie, Zee Entertainment Enterprises Ltd (Zeel) announces the inaugural Agency Premier League T20, a unique trade marketing initiative aimed at media professionals. Launching in Bengaluru on December 16, the tournament will set the stage for the third season of the DP World International League T20 (ILT20), beginning January 2025.

The opening ceremony will feature acclaimed Kannada actor Ramesh Aravind, adding star power to the Bengaluru leg, which promises a dynamic celebration of sports and industry collaboration. The event will continue with matches in Delhi on December 18 and culminate in Mumbai on December 20.

Zeel, the official broadcaster of DP World ILT20, aims to unite media agencies through this spirited tournament. Prominent media agencies will participate across three cities:
• Bengaluru: Group M (two teams), Dentsu, Havas Media, Initiative, and Madison.
• Delhi: OMD, Havas, IPG, Group M, Publicis, and Dentsu.
• Mumbai: Wavemaker, Starcom, Madison World, DBB Mudra Max, Essence Mediacom, and Mindshare Fulcrum.

Speaking about the initiative, Ashish Sehgal, Zeel’s Chief Growth Officer of Digital & Broadcast Revenue, said, “The Agency Premier League T20 showcases Zee’s commitment to engaging meaningfully with trade partners. Cricket’s unifying spirit resonates across India, and this initiative brings the excitement of ILT20 closer to the media fraternity while creating an innovative experience for cricket fans worldwide.”

The highly anticipated third edition of DP World ILT20 will kick off on January 11, 2025, culminating in the finals on February 9, 2025. Zeel aims to surpass the 221 million viewership achieved in the previous season by expanding coverage to its 15 widely distributed linear TV channels and Zee5, one of India’s leading OTT platforms.

Zee Cinema HD, Zee Tamil HD, Zee Telugu HD, Zee Kannada HD, &Flix HD, and Zee Zest HD, among others.
Zeel also plans to engage global cricket fans through syndicate broadcast partners, with announcements expected soon.

Zeel’s extensive distribution strategy aims to achieve a record 230 million viewership for ILT20 Season 3. A notable 46 percent female viewership and 55 percent youth viewership in Season 2 reflect the league’s universal appeal. Expanding coverage to South Indian channels further cements its status as a month-long cricket carnival.
