Zee Kannada News to air Zee Achievers Award Feb 16

Zee Kannada News is set to inspire millions as it presents the telecast of the Zee Achievers Award 2024 on February 16, 2025. The special programme will showcase the remarkable contributions of 46 changemakers from various fields, honouring their relentless efforts in shaping society for the better.

Marking its third anniversary, Zee Kannada News takes pride in celebrating individuals who have set new benchmarks in excellence and societal progress, the TV channel said in a press release.

The event will feature Karnataka Deputy Chief Minister D.K. Shivakumar, former Chief Minister D.V. Sadananda Gowda, Minister Ramalinga Reddy and renowned film stars Dhruva Sarja and Priyanka Upendra, adding to the grandeur of the occasion.

In a video message, Karnataka Chief Minister Siddaramaiah commended Zee Kannada News for highlighting selfless contributors who often go unrecognized. Gowda praised the channel for setting a strong precedent in a media landscape increasingly dominated by social media and AI-driven narratives.

Dr. Nirmalanandanatha Swamiji, Pontiff of Adichunchanagiri Mutt, emphasized the importance of recognizing such efforts, noting that Zee Kannada News has built unwavering trust among the people of Karnataka through its unbiased journalism.

Deputy CM Shivakumar called the awardees “true assets to society,” whose contributions have played a vital role in nation-building. Reddy echoed these sentiments, stating that individuals working for the greater good without personal gain are the backbone of the nation.

Amazing and grim battle for survival. Guess it will end up in Supreme Court. All that NCLT asked Zee to do was to file a reply to Invesco petition for a EGM. Now this is getting too serious. So far Invesco has been hammered for demanding an EGM. What is Zee upto? Ofcourse my lawyer community knows better!
